Faculty Position in Global Health (Rank Open)

The Global Health program at Duke Kunshan University (DKU) is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position. Appointment will be assistant, associate or full professor rank depending on the qualification and experience. Positions could be in the area of environmental health, health systems and policy, health economics, biostatistics, infectious disease, or other fields relevant to global health. This position is expected to start approximately in fall 2022. Under the umbrella of Duke University, we offer a Master of Science Degree in Global Health. DKU has a well-established Global Health Research Center with research programs in environmental health, non-communicable diseases, aging, health systems and policy, and emerging infectious diseases. The Research Center is populated by interdisciplinary scholars of Global Health, including DKU faculty in DKU’s graduate and undergraduate programs in Global Health. The Center served as a research hub of the Asia-Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policy under the WHO.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in an appropriate field. Postdoctoral research/teaching experience is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and be an excellent teacher (or show promise for excellent teaching and mentoring). The official working language at DKU is English (Mandarin proficiency is desirable but not required). Candidates, whose research and/or teaching are interdisciplinary are strongly encouraged to apply. They will have the opportunity to mentor DKU students as well as collaborations with colleagues from Duke University in the USA and Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore.
